Minly, for writers
In one paragraph
Minly is a calm sensory-play app for babies and toddlers on iPhone and iPad, built by a parent who believes the best screen time for a toddler is none. Instead of rewards and levels, it offers 19 slow, gentle worlds (bubbles, fireflies, rain, snow) inside the tiny planet of Min, a sleepy pebble. There are no ads, no data collection and no subscription, and a wind-down timer ends play by dimming the screen until Min falls asleep. 2 worlds are free; the rest unlock with a single $9.99 purchase.
The story
I built Minly for my daughter.
I don't believe any screen time is good for a toddler. But phones are everywhere, and little hands find them. Most apps made for small children are built to keep them there, with rewards, sounds and one more level.
Minly does the opposite. Nothing to win, nothing to collect, nothing that asks her to stay. It's calm enough that interest fades on its own, and when the timer ends, Min falls asleep and the screen goes quiet. The goal is to hand her back to the real world.
